Amazon Picking Challenge 2016

We are just getting underway in our bid for the Amazon Picking Challenge, where we is a robotics team from MIT and our vision group at Princeton. We've hitched our cart to APC royalty: the MIT team won second place last year.

The picking challenge asks robotics teams to develop systems to complete simple tasks related to their merchandise distribution facilities (e.g., finding objects in shelves, picking them out, putting them back). Here's a video of the winning team from Germany. The Singularity is upon us.
